Program Description

The Bachelor degree with a major in Justice Leadership and Public Safety is purposefully designed to develop ethical, innovative, and compassionate leaders for justice and public safety professions. The program's academic intent centers on fostering advanced skills in leadership, policy analysis, and professional integrity, preparing graduates to address complex challenges across law enforcement, corrections, homeland security, and victim services. Coursework includes the topics of justice leadership, public safety administration, policy development, technology integration, and crisis management.

Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of this program, students will be able to:

  • Demonstrate leadership in justice and public safety in diverse roles.

  • Apply evidence-based decision-making to address challenges in justice administration and public safety.

  • Demonstrate ethical practice grounded in faith-based leadership principles

  • Interpret criminal justice theories and policies to address evolving issues in justice and public safety.

Admissions Requirements for this Program

  • Proof of high school graduation or GED certification.

  • Original transcripts from all previous college or university study at college or university that is accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by both the U.S. Department of Education (ED) and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).

Graduation Requirements for this Program

  • Completion of 90 semester hours.

  • Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher.

  • Completion of the required core courses with a GPA of 2.25 or higher.

  • Completion of 30 hours of general education as specified (CAPS - General Education Requirements).

  • Payment of all tuition and fees is required to receive a diploma.
