Program Description
Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this program, students will be able to:
Exhibit sensitivity and insight into the wide variety of problems experienced by individuals and groups in contemporary society.
Promote personal growth in self and others by understanding core concepts in human development.
Demonstrate clinical skills of screening and interviewing.
Apply principles of ethical decision making in the human services field.
Apply theories of crisis intervention with individuals, couples, families, and groups.
Articulate an understanding of the field of Human Services from a Christian worldview.
Evaluate social, economic, and political processes as they relate to human services.
Admissions Requirements for this Program
Proof of standard high school diploma or GED certification.
Graduation Requirements for this Program
Completion of 60 credit hours.
Completion of the required core (major) courses with a GPA of 2.0 or higher and a minimum of 15 hours of the core (major) taken at Indiana Wesleyan University.
Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher.
Completion of 24 hours of general education requirements as specified (CAPS - General Education Requirements).
Payment of all tuition and fees is required to receive a diploma.
