APS.MBAIT - Master of Business Administration - Major in Information Technology Management

The Master of Business Administration with a major in Information Technology Management is designed for practicing professionals who possess a bachelor's degree in business or technology or an advanced degree in another area of specialization. Students participating in this program desire additional study in order to expand and enhance their ability to contribute to their career path, company, and society. This program allows students to be engaged in working in a paid or non-paid position, (provided this employment is appropriate for a training opportunity, considering the goals and requirements of the degree program), which may include current employment in a full- or part-time professional position, participation in job shadowing, or participation in an internship. Additionally, the program provides a foundation for future employment to extend the academic experience with practical training as noted above.

Students in this program of study will design solutions and strategies for complex business problems and opportunities and integrate critical analysis with disciplines such as management, statistics, finance, and economics. In addition, personal management capabilities will be evaluated and plans for growth will be designed. Students will synthesize ethical standards in decision-making and strategy development, create appropriate cross-cultural communication strategies to achieve organizational goals, and integrate a biblical framework that guides interactions within the global business environment and workplace.

Information systems infrastructure, security, and compliance requirements to produce effective technology solutions for specific organizational problems will be appraised. Students will evaluate current and emerging technologies while developing skills necessary to negotiate information technology contracts and outsourcing information technology services to meet the needs of an organization.
